Visiting With Cows Poem by Marilyn Lott

Visiting With Cows

The cows were meandering
Along a roadside fence
Saw the bull last week
But haven't seen him since.

I parked my car and stood ‘long side
All the cows stop chewing
Looked straight in my direction
I guess I'm worth a viewing.

Some of them came over
To really see myself
Shyness or fear it looks like
Is put upon the shelf.

Little babies by the moms
What a joy they are to see
One of the best parts of country
At least it is to me.

If you have never tried this, my friend
Pick a warm summer day
Have yourself a cow viewing
Listen to what they have to say.
