Voice Of My Own Poem by Mehta Hasmukh Amathaal

Voice Of My Own

I miss her in dead of night
When she decided to catch flight
Go back to her place
Never to come back again to show face

She was always scary
And always was caught up with worries
I asked several times with care
She was frightened and did not dare

We never had quarrel
Or all of sudden any trouble
We avoided silly concern
But she was always down

She had some apprehension
I too tried to sort out or mention
She had definite clue to my illicit relation
She was visibly moved with sure indication

"Is all over in life" I was now worried
I pleaded her but certainly lied
She was sure and remained unmoved
My guilt was already proved

With bag on shoulder
She stepped out of home and became stranger
I looked at her with no voice of my own
Soon she was to become unknown
