From the window of my house…
I saw a monkey as cute as a mouse…
Scratching the scalp of his son…
After cuckoo who wished to run…
Finally when father monkey finished his task..
From his clutches, his baby son ran out fast..
That cuckoo he chased at last
But his father waiting at the past..!
Then I glanced the legs of the father monkey
His one hind leg was missing, rather..
Despite this void..
Seeing his baby son, he is overjoyed..!
He never lets his life become distressing..
Even with one leg missing…
He abruptly jumps..and reaches his baby
Despite all the difficulties, he is happy..!
Along with the son, the father hopped
Across the lawn and on the stack of corn..
Seeing them going on.. on..and on..
Reconciling with the vacuum of my life, I decided to move on..!
awww...you have created a master piece here.simple and beautiful and with a message.loved it.
Pooja, this is a beautifully written poem, trust me. whatever gave you the inspiration is unbeknowst to me, but you did great. would have rather expected a different title, not VOID. it tells a beautiful story of how 'some' of us extract strength & determination to live life to the lees no matter our chequered past...hmm more grill to your mill.
