Wait Out The Weather Poem by Wes Thompson

Wait Out The Weather

I like forgetting to breath
with my heart sewn to my sleeve
because it doesn't remind me of anything
the sound of new names
flowers that seeds somehow became
it doesn't remind me of anything
and the sun after rain
when light kisses the earth
life glimmers like new
we're all wet from birth
when a moment beguiles
time to cease for a while
and it helps me remember
that I can't help but smile
if it doesn't remind me of anything
