Waking Up

I hear a beat, it sounds like a steady drum
It warms my face, like the summer sun
I breathe in the smell of spring time
As I feel the ridges and the dips, like mountains

I open my eyes to the peeking sun, head buried against your chest
While my fingers trace your body, to the soothing sound of your heart beat
As I breathe in the smell of your lingering cologne
