Walk Into The Waters Poem by Vinit Kumar

Walk Into The Waters

Rating: 5.0

Of early as I remember, days maybe, moments galore.
There was a glimpse of sheen and glee on my face, reflected in the stagnant pool at the edge of the sea.
Have I lost enough or some ounces are yet to be shaken off me?
I had no answer, Nor advice to follow.
I kept my silence on the outside, reflected in a happy smile.
On the inside, a foment or maybe some vengeance was surging high.
My lips muscled automatically - it is time, and I looked at the sun, in the distance. He echoed, yes it is time.
I walked into the waters, the ships were never near.
