Walking In The Streets Poem by Moriah Toran

Walking In The Streets

Rating: 2.7

Walking in the streets,

Is like walkling in the city of hell.

People shootin' people,

Teens smoking weed in the streets.

Just seeing all this stuff goin' on,

Make my head want to explode!

This life kill ya know!

Kill, kill, killing each other.

Is this how you want to die brother?

Nothing worse than the cry of a mother,

Grieving the violent death of her child.

Gun control, drug control, kids off the streets,

Make this hellish place feel so sweet.

This is the kind of life we need.

Need to pray, to find peace.

If the world were a better place to live in,

Walkin' in the streets would feel like heaven.

But that's not the world we live in.

Right now, walkin' in the streets,

You see people fightin',

Doin' drugs and shootin' their families,

Just so they could feel happy.

But they're not happy at all.

They feel mad and sad inside.

I'm not sure about you,

But I wouldn't want to live in a world like that.

I want to live in a world,

Where there is no violence.

But maybe one,

There will be silence.
