Waltzing The World Away Poem by Thistle Wargul

Waltzing The World Away

Turning around on the music floor,
Swept in a world of our own.
His hand on my hip, caressing the skin.
Soft sweet lips full of passion.

We’ll dance all night long,
Through the end of this, sad song.
Filled with memories of warm days,
Waltzing the world away.

Walking on sparkling blue water,
On a sea of, salty tears.
Moonlight fading, dawn is coming;
Fingers of light, dragging me back.

A gold thread dress, bathed in red
A deep green skirt and blouse.
Suits of black and white; like penguins
Ties or bows of gorgeous shades.
Hot feet flattening once green grass,
Sore but not willing to stop.

Walking on sparkling blue water,
On a sea of, salty tears.
Moonlight fading, dawn is coming;
Fingers of light, dragging me back.
