Wanting A Man Poem by Randy McClave

Wanting A Man

Before she got herself a man
Getting one was her ultimate plan,
So, she did all that she could
And she did more than what she should.
She wanted one like her mom had
And one like her sister which made her glad,
So, she grabbed a romantic magazine and a romance book
Then she went on the look.
She then dyed and also styled her hair
So, that she could get everyone to stare,
And then she wore the finest perfume
And it still lingered when she left a room.
She took a shower at least twice every day
And she dieted and exercised in every way,
She always bought the newest and the sexiest clothes
She even pierced her bellybutton and her nose.
And she always wore the sexiest nylons
Which matched her skin tanned bronze,
And she wore the shortest dresses and skirts
To grab attention and also to get flirts.
She worked really hard to get herself a male
She sweated, and went in debt and pushed herself in every detail,
And getting herself ready for a date took her hours
But, her hard work gave her the look and smell of beautiful flowers.
And before she even thought about marriage
About love and pleasing her man she would not disparage,
Then when she got a man she then stop continuously bathing
When she got a man she even stopped shaving.
