Warzone Poem by Ami White

Warzone

I find it really difficult,
To tell people exactly,
How I feel, so here it goes,
I'm telling you with my words.

I'm having a bad day,
You probably can tell,
I'm not feeling myself,
I'll crawl back in my shell.

Living in a warzone battered and confused,
Wish I didnt have to stay always feeling bruised,
Don't know if I'm strong enough to face the world alone,
Don't know how I'd cope without the place that I call home.

There is a traffic jam in my head,
I'm thinking of things I should have said,
Im sorry, I'm sorry,
Please forgive me.

It must just be me,
Being a negative person,
I can't help it,
I'm failing.

It's getting harder and harder to find a good reason to smile,
You've got to believe that there's happiness out there to find,
The further you climb the harder you fall,
Doesn't take long before you've nothing left at all.

There is a traffic jam in my head,
I'm thinking of things I should have said,
Im sorry, I'm sorry,
Please forgive me.
