Washing Away Poem by Char Pattrick

Washing Away

As light shimmers on the shore
With body failing, tired and sore
As waves crash and wash the sand
With hopes fading and falling hand
As shells wash up, shiny and white
With things not looking so bright
As the tide comes in, washing high
With eyes looking towards the sky
As the waves wash it all away
With just one more dim day
