Wasted
to him you talked
you left me to hang
foolish and mocked
the warning bells rang
it wasn’t your scene
we were not alright
you acted quite mean
expected a fight
i bought you a drink
you took strong offence
you kicked up a stink
and joked my expense
then you left early
i had lost my charm
acted quite sourly
it did myself harm
a text the next day
read ‘there is no we’
that there was no way
for us to agree
in some ways i’m glad
you gave me the shove
but also quite sad
to have lost our love

Technically, there is nothing wrong wuth this poem. So it is an 8 under any assessment a poet can make. I simply can't go higher though. That's because there is nothing extraordinary that would make it a 10 and it is rather simple from a rhyming standpoint, which makes it weak enough to make it less than a 9. GW62
