Our duty is to show kindness on them,
By action they are begging in mass defame.
They don't know reason they are begging,
Moving places they are falling in ragging. [1]
Whole day they mooch the whole year,
They do hard work to gain without fear.
Some frighten them but quarrel some,
But the kind-hearted call they come. [2]
Torn clothes they wear never get new,
They cover mind calling God among few.
Beggars hope to fly sitting near temple,
They count the coins with ringing ample. [3]
Still they unite and integrate to build nation,
Some say fashion but they are in motion.
In between sin and virtue unseen they are,
At night beggars sleep in cold watching star. [4]
However they reap fruits of their past action,
They bind people and God in lovely affection.
Repenting on past they appeal to wash sin,
Every moment they try to fill utensil of tin. [5]
Wonder is the law of action in this Earth,
One is ruler; one is beggar of same time birth.
Oh people! Be aware of work doing here,
Surrender on feet of God and live in cheer. [6]
Not enough food on the table for too many yet waste in other parts of the world just accepted. Thank You for your words

A touching one indeed beautifully crafted......Kumarmani........on lives of beggars we call them but they are part of our nation, part of our this world and part of our life............ very nice
This poem points to the discrepancy in society; the consequence of a system unethically founded.

Some times the disparity between man and man perplexes us! While one is born into the lap of luxury, another is born in the nadir of poverty! While some are rulers, others are beggars! But it is not our doing.... to a great extent, it is God's will! So we should be compassionate to the poor! Great thoughts!
A very beautiful poem that speaks to the oneness of us all. Very beautiful idea, beautifully said.
This poem is a reflection of your kind and compassionate being Kumarmani. Your realization that even beggars are part of the action on this earth, they have their parts to play, is gently and kindly touched upon. A very thoughtful and endearing poem, thank you for sharing it. RoseAnn
