Water Lily Poem by Yasmin Khan

Water Lily

Daintily swaying on cool waters
Of a deep lake cool and broader,
Through veils of morning rises to the surface,
Dusk falls but it never submerges.

Bluish hues, a reflection of the sky,
Smiles the lily, soothing the heart and eyes,
Edges blue, smoothly changing to the heart
Sacred tints, loved by deities of times apart!

Quivers as first love, yet heartily moves,
Enchants while rests in water's groove.
Maddening the hearts by her dainty dance,
Diffuses fragrance, inducing trance!

how sweet and dainty is the water lily. Lying so peaceful and carefree. Absorbing the summer sun. Nice
