'' We All Bleed Red '' Poem by Bri Mar

'' We All Bleed Red ''

Rating: 5.0

In this game of charades,
We are many shades,
It's the beauty of what we term life,
As our colour cascades,
What never fades,
Is our hatred, which causes such strife.

We call it race,
I'd say disgrace,
The human just loves to maltreat,
Instead of embrace,
Some make the case,
That racism to them can be sweet.

Be you black or white,
It just isn't right,
To believe the high ground is yours,
To enjoy to incite,
Others ire you ignite,
Truth is, your intolerance obscures.

You're but one of a few,
Yes, I do mean you,
Who live their lives, to cause friction,
If we all took your view,
Chaos would ensue,
You can't isolate fact from what's fiction.

It's not taught in schools,
But intolerance rules,
Yet the racist will never ask why,
In the presence of fools,
They follow like mules,
When confronted, the facts they deny.

As you stand in gods booth,
You'll find it uncouth,
In fact, it will fill you with dread,
You'll shout out, strewth,
When you discover the truth,
Black or White,

We are all one with the red blood. Racism is evil. Beautiful poem.
