We Alone Poem by Peter S. Quinn

We Alone

It isn't easy to love you tonight,
When the dark shall becoming on;
And the stars are all out of sight,
Because our heaven is gone.
Read my love inside my eyes,
They will tell you so very much;
If my love for you shall agonize,
When it's over I need your touch.

We've been chanced to fate before,
And just stood there by and by;
Sailed no boats from shallow shore,
Left all knots for destiny to untie.
What is great will never stay,
So don't hesitate to be wise;
Safe your love don't give away,
What you have and don't realize.

There are two things to resolve,
By yourself and chance of fate;
Give the moments that will involve,
The truth that you know to valuate.
In the beginning there are riddles,
To safe our self from dark destiny;
Where thoughts will revolve acquittals,
One by one and set them again free.
