We Give Our Many Thanks Poem by norman hale

We Give Our Many Thanks

It's that time of year again
When we give our many thanks
To those that have gone before us
No matter what their ranks

To the pilgrims and indians
Who ceebrated this special day
And started this tradition
In a festival kind of way

Let's thank the soldiers
Who fought in all those wars
May they stay a part of history
Like the light from the shining stars

Let's be thankful to our forefathers
And their wisdom they passed down the line
Giving us so many freedoms
May they last until the end of time

Let us be thankful for our country
The land of milk and honey
Let's do away with the greedy ones
That only care about the money

Let's sit at our tables
May the tradition forever live
Let's toast to those from the past
May we have plenty so we can give
