I am a spider and I spin
A lovely shining web for you.
I always do feel happy when
The spinning of my web I do.
And when my web spinning is done,
I hope that you will come and see
This spider web that I just spun.
I hope that happy you will be,
And show to me a great big smile,
And take a little time to stay,
And watch me in my work a while,
Before you go on with your day.

And when you saw my web and grinned,
I knew this spider made a friend.
