Weekender Poem by Philo Yan

Weekender

When hunger strikes
No conversations
When food is fed
More talk will flow
And with the drinks
the dam is broken
Camaderie warms
the friendship glows.

And after all is said and done
The food is eaten
The drinks are drunk
the stomach sated
the hearts are soften
the aching bodies
and feet of host
when friends go home
to bed to sleep
the friends who stay
to clean are friends to keep!
