Welcoming Coolness Poem by RoseAnn V. Shawiak

Welcoming Coolness

Sun slowly setting in the west, today is nearly over,
twilight soon to set in, welcoming the coolness about
to settle upon Phoenix for a few hours.

Today having been one-hundred-fourteen degrees, using
everything within us to get cool so we can eventually
fall asleep.

For now eating New York style pizza, enjoying the rest-
aurant's cool a/c blowing, feeling energy coming back
into this being once again.
