What A Waste Poem by Hebert Logerie

What A Waste

What a waste to hate
And to be willing to suffocate
Friends, foes, folks, enemies
Allies and acquaintances.

What a waste to kill
To cheat, shoot, stab and rob; and to steal
From the poor people who are in need
And whom we must love and feed.

Love is lighter that hate
Which is a heavy load in the heart
Love is a panacea and is part
Of the solution to ameliorate.

No one wants a heart attack to solve
The problems. Time is constrained and limited
Reject hate emphatically and practice love
In order to enjoy a future well warranted.

Hatred has a rotten and miasmic taste
What a colossal loss! What a waste
To hate, destroy, burn and kill
Heaven is real. And real is hell.
