What Does ' Christmas ' Mean To You! ? Poem by Denis Martindale

Is Christmas based on gifts and toys, or snow men, if it snows?
Or on God's Son, and on our choice, so God's grace grows and grows?
Is Christmas based on Santa Claus, and chimneys on our roofs?
Or Christmas cakes we buy in stores, or on God's Gospel truths?

Is Christmas based on holidays, more sweeties, more TV?
Or is time still reserved for praise, recalling Calvary?
Or Christmas parties, oh, so grand, a mistletoe embrace?
Or what the Father's Love has planned through God's amazing grace?

I only know what God has done for Christians near and far,
Who love the Father and the Son, no matter who they are.
They seek the Lord by day and night, they preach Good News to all,
That's why in Christmas I delight, Christ is God's miracle!

The Virgin Birth sets Christ apart! Praise God for Mary's faith!
Praise God that Christ lives in my heart, my precious soul to save!
Evangelists may come and go, like angels that God sends,
Yet Jesus is the King I know whose true love never ends!
