Miroslava Odalovic (Montenegro)
What exactly am I doing? (Nafaka)
I swallow the fire so as not to be swallowed
Burn the thought on the sun so as not to be melted
Rush so as not to be reached by fear
Jump over the street so as not to be forgotten by a path
Drink all the waters of the world so as not to be drawned
Breath each possibility of the air so as not to be choked
Live so as not to be run over by life
Awake the passions so as not to walk in the corpse
Dream to stay awake
Travel so as not to stay
And I sing
Songs of heaven and songs of earth
Choose suffering so that I could laugh
Choose laughter so that I could cry
That’s exactly what I am doing
What about you?
