What Goes Around Comes Around Poem by joanna donne

What Goes Around Comes Around

I didn’t know what to say
Years of silence made me afraid
What is love?
I’m tired of reading your unintentional signs
Was your secret revealed with that one shove?
My insides burned with pain but I feared more your decline
But when I thought of you I floated on cloud nine
It’s now too late
It was never fate
I made myself a fool
While you stood there thinking you were cool
But really you were the tool
For ignoring me and being so cruel
But now I’m at Brown
And all I have to say is What Goes Around Comes Around
