What I Did Poem by eve coleman

What I Did

I hate
Myself
I am proud of
The scars on my arm
I do not like
Being happy
I like
To hurt inside
I do not want
To be okay
I want
To die
I do not want
To accept help from others
I need
To tie that fatal knot
I do not need
To cry
It’s okay
To cut myself
And not
Want to live my life
I should
Hurt myself
I do not want to
Be loved
All I want is to
Suffer.

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
Okay, this is one of those palindrome poems where if read backwards, it means something opposite.
It's inspired by 'The Lost Generation' which we watched in Changing Our World class.
