What If? Poem by Connie Leigh Lindsay

What If?

Rating: 5.0

Have you ever just stopped
and stared at yourself?

You will find that there are
alot of things you wish you could change.

What if we could go back
and change those things?

Do you think we would be
a better or worse person?

You see, all the things we wish to change
has made us grow and learn from them.

If we did not make those mistakes,
then we could not have learned our lesson.

So I ask you, would you change these mistakes?
If yes, then why? What is wrong with the way you are?

Who knows, without the mistakes we made,
we could be worse than what we are now.

Insightful analogy, young lady...Your employment of couplets works well....Stanzaic movement glides mellifluously...Solid Penning. FjR
