What Is



What is love to an empty heart?
What is a caress, to a broken soul?
A sweet caress can be the start,
Of a love of solid gold.

What is a hug, to a withered life,
That is slowly growing old?
It can cut through sorrow, just like a knife,
Once your arms surround and hold.
