What is Misfortune?

Misfortune is…
A goal unaccomplished,
A challenge unmet,
A dream never realized.
Misfortune is disappointment.

Misfortune is…
A mother never there,
A father never known,
A love never found.
Misfortune is heartbreak.

Misfortune is…
A child abandoned,
An animal unloved,
A family hungry.
Misfortune is despair.

Misfortune is…
A country divided,
A nation torn,
A world in pieces.
Misfortune is history.

Very very good poem. Misfortune is when I hope or desire something. No desire no misfortune. There is peace with me always. Congratulation poet.

Poem of the Day

poet Paul Laurence Dunbar

The mist has left the greening plain,
The dew-drops shine like fairy rain,
The coquette rose awakes again
Her lovely self adorning.

The Wind is hiding in the trees,
