What Love Of Christ Poem by Gary James Smith

What Love Of Christ

Rating: 5.0

What Love Of Christ

What love of Christ
To take our place on Calvary
To seek our good
Far far above His own
Who knew the price
That sin would demand of Him
Yet took God's wrath
To gain our presence at His Throne

With sin's onslaught
To bring us to a swift demise
God's grace ensued
To bring the lost one's home
And by His Word
We discover faith in Him
And rejoicing are those
Who own Him as their own

Make swift my feet
To follow after Jesus
Who leads the way
The kindly Shepherd He
For in His love
In His great grace and mercy
Still seeks for soul's
With love poured out from Calvary

Look and live
My brother live
Let light shine in
Where darkness reigned before
Behold the Lamb
God's sacrifical offering
Make your heart receptive
To Christ Who is the Door!

Hallelujah what a Saviour!
