WHAT LOVE WHAT WONDROUS LOVE
WHAT LOVE! WHAT WONDROUS LOVE
For the joy that was set before Him
He endured the cross
He saw His Victory over sin
For those who were lost
Wounded for our transgressions
Bruised for our iniquities
The crown of thorns upon Him
His prayer in Gethsemane
Still steadfast He remained
Set His face like a flint
Nothing could deteour His plan
Though satan tried his stint
His love for sinners drove Him
All the way to Calvary
From the cross still emits the sound
I gave my life for thee
My heart now, has a song
That it never had before
I can sing about His Grace
For He opened heaven's Door
There no sin shall enter
For back on yonder cross
He placed my death upon Himself
He suffered all the cost
What love! What wondrous love.
That vile ones such as we
Should gain Eternity
What love! What wondrous love
