What Magnitude Of Hatred
What magnitude of hatred
That men displayed that day
Satan turned them away from love
And thought he'd won the day
All of the miracles and blessings
Dismissed by a few cruel words
Crucify Him' cruciify Him
Was all the crowd had heard
No sin upon His record
Not one conviction.. none!
He asked if there were any record of such
And the crowd remained there numb
What were they in agitation of?
He said...that He could forgive sin
To them it was supreme blasphemy
For they said it made Him God to them
But still He hung there in agony
With a heavy weight of love
Asking His heavenly Father to forgive them
And directed that pray above
Right to the very end of His life
His love did not diminish
He forgave the repentant thief on his cross
And cried out it is finished!
O the victory to be revealed
On Resurrection day
Mary had quite a surprise awaiting
The joy of which she could not stay
She believed the angels story
That Christ had risen indeed
Andswiftly ran to tell the disciples
For sure their faith was increased
What ramifications we have for sin
If its punishment we have to bare
But praise God Jesus went to the Cross
To suffer in our stead there
O the precious blood of Jesus
Behold Him...innocence Supreme
When we accept by faith His work
His grace is given to men
There's Salvation in none other
Jesus holds the record for that
His Word the Highest evidencefor men
And that's an eternal fact
The Word become flesh amongst us
How can...how can it be
Praise God for that day and wonderful transaction
When He saved a sinner like me!
Hallelujah what a Saviour!
