What Makes You Happy...
outside the rain is falling
and the inside children
are playing their video games
or watching the TV
knowing nothing is different
the old lady is smiling
because the sound of the rain
is soothing to her senses
the newlywed couple is happy
for an excuse to stay in bed
all day long
and the homeless man
huddles under a bridge
trying to find warmth
he used to love the rain.
