What's Not There Poem by Lawrence S. Pertillar

What's Not There

You only validate,
What I say.
Not to dispute it.
But keep it validated.

You want to knock down,
What I observe.
As if it's fiction.
And not reality to daily occur.
You think of my opinions to be my own.
Well,
I do agree.
However what I see,
Known to me shown.
Would you rather leave it left unknown.

You only validate,
What I say.
To have this said,
Then to twist it your way.
You only validate,
What's not there to see.
Like your delusions.
You rather keep believed.

You only validate,
What I say.
Not to dispute it.
But keep it validated.
You only validate,
What I say.
By having people wonder,
Who it is that betrays.
Truth.
And...
Who is it that's afraid,
Of truth.
To dupe it.
Who is it that betrays.
Truth.
And...
Who is it that's afraid,
Of truth.
To betray and dupe it!

Who would take a truth to dupe.
Of what's not there.
Who would take a truth just to dupe.
Of what's not there.
Who would take a truth to dupe.
Of what'snot there.
Who would take a truth just to dupe.
Who would take a truth just to dupe.
