What’s Salvation Poem by Michael P. Johnson

Salvation is a spirit thing
Beginning here on earth
We need to change the songs we sing
We need a second birth

We need to see we have a need
We need to understand
That God in us could plant a Seed
That grows throughout our land

Its not a thing the eye can see
No ear has need to hear
It comes from God it comes quite free
It comes and starts right here

No need to be of high descent
No need for gold or jewel
We only need from sin repent
And ask God’s Son to rule

Through faith in Him God sacrificed
Through hope in Him who died
Salvation comes through Jesus Christ
Through He who dwells inside

Through grace of God’s eternal love
There’s no more need to die
We need but ask for life above
When Christ we seek on high

At times mankind must feel a loss
Must hear what Christ would say
Must bend their knee beneath the cross
And humbly then obey

Salvation comes through Christ alone
Who reigns forever more
The Lamb of God, Life’s Corner Stone
The Key to Heaven’s Door
