What They Dont See Poem by Naomi Waters

What They Dont See

Im a failure
That much I leave clear to see
Im not sure if they notice
Some seem to think I actually know what im doing
I just wear my deceit like a second skin
I want them to think im not a lost cause
The truth is I am
Unlike what they believe
I cant do anything right
It doesnt matter how hard I try
I will never be good enough
Never be smart enough
They think im decent
Even they sense that in truth I am the least
It still scares me that one day
They might see the real me
What if they hate it
Deciding that ripping me apart
Is more humane than letting me live
Regardless of the outcome
I wont come out on top

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
This is how bullying works with me. Trust me I should know since this is how people treat me and how I have survived for this long. If your being bullied believe me when I say there are others out there who feel your pain, I am one of them.
