What We Learnt Poem by Navarun Mallick

What We Learnt

From an insignificant ape to the top of the food chain,
The journey of mankind has been momentous.
But we became arrogant, and caused Nature much pain,
Until we were humbled by COVID-19.
We remembered, that we don't own the world,
We remembered the important things we had forgot.
By staying at home, we have been taught
To pause a little, to take it slow.
To find new visions, to let our life flow.
We now know that our creed has responsibilities,
Let's carry them out to the best of our ability.
Let's heal the world, let's make it a better place to be.
