It struck me number of times
I gave serious thought too many times
What shall I do to prove?
The holy mother or cow
Both are considered sacred
As we are lead
To believe in its belief
The name itself provides relief
As an ordinary mother
I always bother
To provide comfort to baby
With food or no food already
Do I keep baby in semi starvation?
Do I feed with worry and hesitation?
I cry and hide face under pillow?
What shall be future tomorrow?
I shall do whatever possible
Even under hot sun I shall struggle
It will give me some satisfaction
With bond and mother relation
Whatever possible...that's what parents especially mothers strive for, for the welfare of their offspring! Good one, Mehtaji. Padmaja Iyengar, Secunderabad, India Oct 17,2014
