When I Met You... Poem by KUNAL SETH

I have walked paths that were unwalked
Hid all the emotions that popped me into blue
Closer I came to you farther I went from me
A break from the riddles and dilemmas that surrounded me
Discovering a new world filled with thee
A waterfall of the river unheard
A land where day never sleeps
You came as fresh air
Gave me hope in the hour of despair

I have no answers for your innocent questions
I wonder at the preciseness of these innocent precisions
It doesn’t look like the same me
No shadows of wild and free
We walked together on known streets
Hiding and sheltering our feelings from the unseen
Unknown thoughts blooming in each corner
We know we are dissimilar in every similar order
Yet finding our way out from this maze like border

You came and dwelled in me forever
Holding me closer like the heart that knew no other
Swearing that we are united by will
Not in a chaos the desire to stand still
A fearless pursuit, another shot at happiness
Risky it seems not devoid of madness
In a different time we started the same journey for uncountable miles
But ended up at dead ends many times
This time it feels right again
The wrongs stare at us maimed and in disdain
