When I Pray - Poem by Shalom Freedman

WHEN I PRAY

When I pray
I know there is God
Who listens and answers

When I pray
I am with God

When I pray I believe in prayer
When I pray my whole soul is with me

When I pray
I know God will help me

When I pray
God listens to my prayer

Repeating the words when I pray over and over distracts from the poem's meaning. Try combining the lines.
When I pray I know there is a God who listens and answers. I am with God and I believe in prayer with my whole soul. Something along those lines. Really like this poem's idea. RoseAnn (Report) Reply
