When Loved Died Truth Moved It Poem by Chuy Amante

When Loved Died Truth Moved It

that old apartment
downtown
stale, aged, ripe
for change
and it happened
R. Love herself died

the obituary said
her first name
Was Romantic

she grew up, got old
and died
but the phoenix flower
then blossomed
into pure compassion
the gifter of hugs,
bread, water, an ear,
assistance, lovingkindness
alive, a live, life
lived for the All
as One
R. Love lived on
with a name change
Real T. Love herself
seen everywhere with
eyes to see
or minds of action
compassion for all
and apple pie for a few
in her home town
downtown
rarely in her old apartment
Real True Love reigns 'la reina'
everywhere
a real Truth fire spreading!
