My heart will sing like a nightingale
Gently cradled in the arms of a tree,
With song, my heart will disclose it,
When my love comes to me
My heart will dance like the daffodils
That gently sway to Spring's rhapsody,
O, how my heart will dance with joy
When my love comes to me
My heart will fly to the highest hill,
And greet the passing clouds with glee,
Wildly will my heart proclaim it
When my love comes to me
My heart will whisper to the moon's ear
Every dream, each unfulfilled fantasy,
My heart will reveal all its secrets
When my love comes to me
Then my heart will reflect in silence
With prayer to some kindly deity,
Yes, my heart will certainly give thanks
When my love comes to me
