When Tears Carve Scars Of Flooding Emotions Poem by James Darwin Smith II

When Tears Carve Scars Of Flooding Emotions

Rating: 5.0

Ghost of self
Floating in a realm
Of unrest
Dimmed into silence
Feeling dread
Upon plague of thoughts
Blowing away in the air of eternity

Unable to find a destination
Foggy all around
Stoic frustrations
Screaming thoughts within
Wondering why everything happens
So tragically in the arms of
That for which is supposed to be protective
To those unable to defend themselves

Empathy pierces this being
A gray haze of horror
Gasping for air
None to be found
Cannot breathe, cannot breathe
Everything blackens out

I cry in the name of silence
Nothing at that time could be done
But this is now
And the air of time
Is filled with grief

The monsters are real
Cowardly they are
When going face to face
With what they have done

How can they live with themselves?
I suppose it takes a soul to even care

These tears go out to the murder of innocence
When with travesty stop?

Who knows, anymore?

Wish I did

My heart it sinks in the tragedy
That should have never existed
If only there were those with power
To stop this cowardly act
Proclaiming with an iron fist
That this will no longer happen
These tragedies happen way too much

The Ghost of me
Will always be haunted
By what happened
Now and sadly many times before

I weep for lady justice

Her arms
Should always
Be able to protect everyone

I mourn
In the name of unity, peace and love

We all deserve to be safe and sound
Especially when we have done no harm
To anyone

These tears pour deeply down for the fallen

When will things change for the better?
For everyone

This I wish I knew…

I mourn In the name of unity, peace and love...........but this mourning would be only mourning the ears of the world legislators won't be listened and will force to implement blindly.........
