When The Hurt Takes Over I Poem by Stephanie Blodgett

When The Hurt Takes Over I

What do you do when the hurt is so bad you’ll do anything to make it go away? When you cry so hard it feels like razor wire has bound you so tight it suffocates you and the agony of it is so great you become paralyzed in it. Where do you go when the comfortable solace of the place you once had dwelled becomes a place wherever the thought of it is like a sledgehammer to the chest and its everything you have not to let it dropp you to your knees? I think memories are the most powerful thoughts we as humans have… it can save you, brake you, hold you back, destroy you. How would you put out an internal flame one that burns and scorches your flesh from the inside out, so much more than enough to drive someone mad? Could a person be sane when they knowingly bring pain like this upon themselves? I don’t think its possible.
