The shadows call your name

Nothing will be the same

No safety shall be found

There shall be no solid ground

The innocent shall sleep

A secret it shall keep

A promise shall be made

All trust will be betrayed

The shadows will be freed

    The simple repetition 'when the night comes' makes the poem very effective. The poem's atmosphere is kind of apokalyptic.
