When The Raven Is A Muse Poem by James Darwin Smith II

When The Raven Is A Muse

Raven in the sun
Purple tint glows
Corvus at night
The moon shines
Upon the blackness
Of its ever so elusive soul

A magician in the sky
Flying freely at will
Going ever so high
Such an ebony rise
Such a magenta illuminating thrill

The Raven is my soul
My everything, my whole
Existence Upon a fantasmic ride
The true essence
Where all my dreams roam

A loner I may be
But at least I am free

Flying higher than ever
At a height
Beyond the limited ground
Most boring and redundant reach

A Raven's soul I have
Only in dreams
But here I am
As free as I could be

Limits have nothing to do with me
My soul animal is a Raven
And that is what I truly believe

In ebony
Upon Purple tinted freedom

I am free
I am free
I am free
