When We Said Goodbye Poem by Hebert Logerie

When We Said Goodbye

When we said goodbye a few years ago
You and I had no idea where to go
You and I were drowning into chaos
You and I were unhappy and tossed.

Lovers never really say goodbye
Great lovers never truly part ways
You and I had cried for nights and days
And our sore hearts wanted to die.

Love does not dissolve in tears
Love does not tolerate uproar and fears
Love is about comprehension and joy.

Lovers never really say goodbye
Love stays in the heart like a special wooden toy
In the mind of a child yearning for a pie.
