When Worry Do Besiege You (English Sonnet) Poem by Gert Strydom

When Worry Do Besiege You (English Sonnet)

When worry do besiege your lovely brow
and words enemies do against you wield,
at your side I will be in support just as now,
I will help you in each way until they yield

deep in your warm heart your true beauty lies,
this is the time of your life and of your days,
where radiated your thoughts are in your eyes,
here I do more than only your beauty praise

where in kindness you do sympathy use,
I am blessed that your true heart is mine.
Those that speak against you have no excuse
where your sincere deeds do never decline

and in the way that I do love you I am bold:
our feelings are new, intimate and age-old.
