When You Speak Ignorance Poem by Randy McClave

When You Speak Ignorance

When your ignorance insults a woman in power
They don't ever worry or shake or cower,
You know those women don't hear or recognize you
But, sadly sisters and daughters and mothers always do.
Whenever you insult any woman who is in charge
You might then feel victorious and tough and large,
But, those offensive words those women never do hear
But, your sisters and daughters and mothers do in fear.
When you verbally insult any woman who is a leader
You proclaim yourself a bigot and a misogynistic hate feeder,
Those women don't even care or know your name
But, unto your sisters, daughters and mother you bring them shame.
Whenever you talk filthy about any woman who is in authority
Truthfully I give you, and not them my sympathy and pity,
You think that your foul mouth will make them feel vulnerable and weak
They don't, but you become the words that you speak.
When you speak to your sisters, daughters and mother how do you converse
Do you swear, do you intimidate, and do you insult and curse
When you speak about any woman in power always remember this
You was brought into life, by a powerful woman's kiss.
