pray that God will protect you on each busy day,
where of all women to me you are the very best

and to the depth of my heart I adore you with zest,
where beyond eternity I will love you so if I may.

and without you the bed feels like an empty nest.
Thinking of you in the darkness I lay,

and so much at home with you I want to stay
but maybe to our characters this is a kind of test

and kind-heartedness and beauty do in you manifest
modesty and caring for others is in life your way,
where of all women to me you are the very best.

Without you there is sorrow and pain in my breast
while destiny does its whims to the utmost with us play.
