Have you ever ventured
Beyond the dreams
Where the sulking night
Angry with her lovers, the moon and the stars
Dabs her bare body with ashes
And dances around a bonfire?
Have you ever peeped behind eyelashes
Into tired blue eyes
Where a whole world of woe
Swims in spaces unfathomed?
Have you ever spent a day
Under the greenwood trees
Erect sentry-like on each side of the road
Where the sun struggles
To find its way?
Have you ever asked
A wayfarer, a stranger
The directions to the house
Of the one
Whose waning footprints
The winds kiss
Wandering about from town to town?

Excellent Sir. Filled up with poetic joy. And marking as my fav poem with ten++ dr.sakti Cordially invite to my page with your comments and or criticism and…if you please.
Another amazing poem filled with mystery and wonder. Beautiful details and scenery. Simply wonderful. I give it a 10+. However, I do wonder who the 'Her' is. Is she someone very much so real to you? Or is she simply someone you wish was there? Either way, a beautiful and wonderful poem. Great job.
Naseer, I wonder who 'her' is too! Because this is a translation, you may not even know, and it could be just a longing before dreams began. There are images to die for in this beautiful poem. 'Angry with her lovers, the moon and stars drabs her bare body with ashes and dances around a bonfire' All the images are interwoven into the stanzas and stand out with the talent of a master poet. 10 Karin Anderson
